Christmas Morning Video

About a week before Christmas, we were reminiscing and looking through photos from Christmas last year. Its crazy how much Mason has changed in just one year!! Check these out...

We also watched our Christmas morning video from last year and decided that we had to do it again. So Christmas morning I sat up the camera on interval shooting, easy peasy. I just got around to going through the images and putting it together in video form today. I like how simple this is to do, as long as you don't expect to be blown away by creativity because what you are about to see its nuts and bolts basic, about 4 hours of fun simmered down to 2 minutes with a fun little song. I suppose this is now an annual tradition. Enjoy! :)

Since the camera was capturing an image every two seconds, it was bound to capture some cute moments. This is one of my favorite things about doing interval shooting since I can be in the moment and in the pictures....not the greatest pictures, but they get the job done. Happy momma.

Mason was so excited about his little train set. He had a train in at least one hand the rest of the morning. It didn't take him long to learn two new words--- " choo-choo" and "coal car".

Ella has one of these scooters and Mason loves playing on it when we are at her house. It was so cute when we opened this box and he got so excited because he knew exactly what it was.

Mason was excited to have the "kiggies" join in the Christmas fun, they enjoyed their Christmas tuna while we all ate chocolate from our stockings.

And I love these next two moments with his car. We had planned on setting it up outside and taking him out to find it after opening the rest of his presents. But it rained all morning, so we pushed the table and chair to the side and drove the car into the dining room. He was playing with his train in the living room at the time, and when he saw the car he dropped everything on cue and took off running for the car. This was one excited little boy!!!!

So much fun for all of us!! This is what its all about! :)

A review of his Christmas presents this year...
He got a cute Team USA Olympic gold medalist dress up outfit. With it being an Olympic year (already?!...I can't believe it!) we are sure he will get some use out of this. Can you say Olympic viewing party at Mason's house?! :) We have plans to make it adaptable to be a Bahamian Olympian outfit as well. :)

Thomas the train was a big hit!! We are already planning on buying him a few more track pieces pretty soon because he loves this so much, and one little loop just isn't enough. ;) This little set is so neat though because we can easily carry it places with us, it has already served us well when Mason and I had a leisurely two hour breakfast with a friend yesterday morning. He could play with this thing for hours on end.

He also got a Veggietales movie and a Thomas the Train movie. Some fun little things from his stocking... Silly straws, balloons, a laser pointer, nano bug, a book, and some stickers.

And of course, the gift of the year....a car!!! Such a joy!

I guess you might have noticed in the video that Jeremy and I both got iPads for Christmas. We weren't supposed to be spending much on each other. But in years past when we have said that, Jeremy has still been a stinker and bought me a nice gift, so this year I wanted to be the one to surprise him big time. I was SO excited about surprising him with an iPad which I knew he would love. Little did I know that he was doing the same thing for me. It feels a little indulgent to have one iPad, let alone two! But we are enjoying them and of course already have some neat apps for Mason as well. :)
