Joyful, Joyful

If I had to use one word to sum up our little family right now It would be "Joyful". We have felt so blessed this year to be able to enjoy so many moments of health and happiness together, just the three of us, as well as with our extended families on both sides and an amazing community of friends. Mason is such a happy little guy and just exudes JOY pretty much around the clock. The pitter patter of little feet that have quickened over the better part of the year brings so many smiles to our faces. The sounds of his belly laughs and the way he says our names permeate our memories as we try to soak in these moments into deep places so we will never forget those precious sounds. If we could bottle all of this up and stay here forever, we just might. But since we know that isn't possible (and we do look forward with great anticipation as to what the future brings) all I wanted for Christmas was a video of our family, right here and now. A day in the life captured, so we will never forget these sweet and joyful moments.

Many many MANY thanks to Matt & Ashley at Hampton Road Studios for capturing our family on video, and to my sweet friend Becky at Abernathy Photographics for the amazing photographs for our Christmas cards. Also, my friend Amanda Pair captured still images during our video shoot so we have some sweet moments at home captured in photographs as well. I will be sharing more of both sets of those pictures on the blog soon! :) We are so thankful to have this season of life preserved so beautifully. All of you know how sentimental I am, so --as you can imagine-- many tears of pure JOY have been shed to have all of these great memories captured to keep forever. It is the best Christmas present ever!!

I know our family blog has turned into Mason's blog, as that is pretty much all we talk about these days. :) I love to share pictures and stories with our family and friends so they can know Mason as he grows up. No matter the distance that separates all of us, we want you all to know that we love you and cherish each one of you. We talk often about how blessed we are to have so many loving and supportive people in our lives. We pray that each of you have a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. May each of your lives be filled with the true JOY and happiness that was delivered to all of us this very season.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

The video is perfect! My favorite parts were the cute bath time antics, all the giggles, & then the ending with your home decorated with lights. So precious! Thanks for sharing it.
