One of Mason's favorite things to do is walk to the park down the street and throw rocks in the creek (drainage ditch). He's such a big boy and wants to walk the entire way instead of being carried. He collects rocks and sticks along the way....and by that I mean, he picks them up and hands them to us to carry (of course). Then when we arrive he piles everything up and throws them one by one into the water with lots of loud "whoa"s.

Anytime the boys run out for an errand without me, they come back and play peek-a-boo around the doorframe. This is my view from my desk which is where you'll find me anytime they are out of the house.

Mason is all about hats, shoes, and swim goggles here lately. I'm sure hats and shoes are normal accessories around everyone else's house, but so are goggles around here. :)

Mason naps from 1-3:30 every day. He's been on a one nap schedule for a while now, but it was right in the middle of the day (10:45-1:15) for a while. I really love the time of day he naps now. We get the first half of the day to play and run errands and we can actually meet friends for lunch now! Then he naps from 1-3:30 and I work while he sleeps. Jeremy gets home right at the end of Mason's nap and if I still have a lot of work to do I just keep on working and the boys go play outside. I feel like we've found a new groove.....which means this schedule will probably be changing soon because that's how it always seems to happen. ;) {last picture with his paci}

Mason is usually a pretty good eater, but some nights here lately he has just been in a very non-compliant mood. He will say whine "no" and cover his eyes while making the most sullen face. It's such a stinker-fest, but we're glad he's covering his eyes so he can't see us almost laughing while we get onto him. Usually all it takes is telling him he has to eat before he can take a bath, then he comes around and chows down.

This month we added clean-up time to Mason's bedtime routine. I'm not gonna lie, the boy makes some things very difficult, but he has honestly been a sweetheart about helping pick up his toys. After just two nights of telling him what to do, he walked in the living room after his bath on the third night and just went right to work putting all of his toys back in their places. Its definitely not that easy every night, but we were so proud of him for catching on so quickly. Now, I just need to know, what age can kids start washing dishes?

Mason has become obsessed with "kar krucks" (fire trucks). Every truck we see or hear, he yells "kar kruck" in the deepest manly tone he can muster up. One of his favorite toys to take along for car rides is his little toy fire truck that Grandmama and Granddaddy gave him for Christmas. Great toy, except for the button that plays a siren sound....momma is not a big fan of that part. ;) This set of PJs is definitely his favorite and he puts up quite the fight when I try to take off his beloved "kar kruck" shirt in the morning.

On this particular morning Mason spent about half an hour bringing me shoe after shoe to put on all of his stuffed animals. After we completed the task, he sat them all down and admired his handiwork. I just wonder where he gets ideas like this? Its funny to see the little things he comes up with to entertain himself.

Tim and Mason still spend a fair amount of time staring out the front door. I love looking back at these pictures of Tim and Mason at the front door to see how much Mason has grown since we moved into this house.

Now that Mason has figured out how to blow his own bubbles, he doesn't like for us to help him. He makes the cutest faces, and of course, the biggest mess!

I love the pic at dinner and how you can see we laugh behind the scenes. Makes me wonder how old we were when our parents still laughed at us behind our backs. Probably only until we stopped being cute. : )
