We bought Mason a potty, which he calls "pee-pee"....there may be some confusion there. He screams bloody murder if we try to get him to sit on it, but he loves throwing stuff in it.....funny because that's what he likes to do with our potty too. He also carries it all over the house, which is why its in the kitchen here. (The kitties are in the background enjoying some tuna juice, a by product of one of our new favorite sandwiches, the skinny tuna melt)

Mason, the boy. Parading around with his find of the day...."biiiiiiig stiiiiiiick".
Mason's buddy Jon stayed with us one evening. They had lots of fun and are truly little toddler boys together. They play together really well, but they also push and pick on each other too. They are SO funny together! After a fun bath time, I thought they were so cute in their coordinating pajamas.
Mason's love for being tickled has been trumped by his love for tickling others. Anytime he sees any bare skin on our back or stomach he grins slyly and runs over with a pinching twisting motion "tikul tikul tikul". It's pretty much 99% hurt, 1% tickle. The cats also get tikuled quite frequently. They don't seem to be fans of it either, but we all put up with him because he's so stinking cute.
At some point during (almost) every day, Mason will just randomly start running laps around the dining room table. I liken him to a grey hound dog that just needs to run. Run to live. Live to run. Here lately he tries to get Jeremy and I to run with him by coming over and pulling us by the hand, and for some reason handing us a matchbox car.....that seems to be a necessity for lap running. This particular night he ran at least 60 - 80 laps around the table, I kid you not. I kept on having to take breaks because I was SO dizzy, but he would just keep on going, going, and going.
Several months ago, Mason picked up the phrase "it's hot" from us telling him why he couldn't have a bite yet at the dinner table. He would copy us blowing off a spoonful of food, and say "iss-hott, iss-hott", with the cutest emphasis on the O. Now he says it all the time about the bath water and anything he's eating, even though neither are ever hot by the time he gets to touch them. He also loves putting on our oven mitts and running around saying "iss-hott, iss-hott". Like most parents, there are certain words that we can only say the Mason way now, and "iss-hott" is definitely one of them.
You will be glad to know that B learned to go pee-pee on the potty and even got wiped....on the foot.
Mason really loves the chalk easel we got him for Christmas. We are over the chalk-eating phase which lasted a good two weeks, and have moved onto the drawing vertical lines phase. I get a kick out of how you can see exactly how far he can stretch up to reach. Every time he sees the pink chalk he says "Eyya, Eyya?" I guess he has already figured out that pink is Ella's color. :) And yes, he just randomly wears that hat around the house all the time, I'm sure you've noticed it in several pictures here lately. It's his favorite. Mine too. :)
